The Paisley Inn, originally known as Rowe's Tavern, has a rich history as a prominent establishment in Paisley, Ontario. Built in 1851 as a log structure, it was later replaced by a two-story brick building in 1863, becoming the Grand Central and eventually the Paisley Inn. The Inn was a popular destination for dining and lodging, especially in the 1960s and 70s, but it closed down in the 1980s. Since the 1980’s the building was vacated and abandoned. It fell into disrepair in the years to follow.
In 2021 it was acquired, demolished and is now opening as the Paisley Inn Residence. The replicated structure takes on characteristics of the original Paisley Inn, respecting the storied past of the building while updating its uses into residential and commercial suites.
The Paisley Inn Residence is a testimony to the heritage and charm of Paisley past, and will regain its place as a cornerstone to the community it serves.
